To all of you, congratulations for setting such a high bar for our coaching program. The MTL students you have coached have been grateful for the quality of coaching you have provided. And from your self-reflections and from the stories you have told, it seems you have found a real and solid way to make a difference in the lives of others while making a difference in your own. Truths have been told, progress has been made, confidence has been raised to new heights, and deep connections have been made with peer coaches.
Leading the coaching initiative has been a literal dream come true for me. There are many thank you’s: to Sophie Edwards and Steve Kromberg for creating the initial framework, to Pascale Ascher for designing a wondrous, elegant, life-affirming course, to Brocas Walton for teaming with me and with Pascale to present Phases 1 and 3 and to ride through the plethora of forms coming through email, to Rebecca Kuhn for your competent and graceful management of the spreadsheet, to Wendy Bouman for seeing the vision of what could happen in South Africa and for making it a reality, to Judith Kotze for being our support, to all the willing volunteers who opened their lives to these capable coaches, and lastly, to all the participants in this pilot course – we learned a lot from you. From you, we learned how to hold a vision, we learned about passion, and we learned about the sacredness of human beings being human with other human beings.

Thanks Ann for the acknowledgement. During this time I have been, and I have seen, coaches stretched and reaching out for truth not just for a weekend, or a week, but for months at a time. Over and over again coaches choosing truth telling over lies. I have been inspired over and over, and humbled to know them. I love you amazing South African coaches! Nkozi!
