Achieving Our Results

I am writing to tell you some very good news about the progress of our strategic initiatives.

You probably have heard about the Makens Family Matching Campaign, either through a brochure in the mail, a conversation with a fellow student or at one of the courses or community events you’ve participated in this year.

Our goal is to raise $1,200,000 worldwide to underpin our strategic projects. Bill and Diana Makens, two long-term More to Life students, got us started in a big way by pledging matching funds of $350,000. And to date, many of you have generously contributed, fueling much of what’s being created within our organization.

I am really proud to tell you that, to date, we have raised $834,000 in pledges and related matching funds worldwide - 70% of our goal!

Thank you so very much for your support and generosity!

I’m also pleased to say that we’re making excellent progress in the delivery of our strategic projects, which were presented to communities at 17 Out-of-the-Box events in 15 locations earlier this year.

Following those events, we took your feedback on board and revised our new internal marketing products. These materials were used in London's most recent More To Life, where they were met with great excitement and appreciation, especially from the team and community leaders. The new materials include a journal, processing notes, introductory cards and much more for passing on MTL, all with an updated and consistent look. We are piloting these marketing materials in seven locations over the next 3-6 months and soliciting feedback regarding their impact.

In conjunction with the internal marketing project, we are also in the midst of a very exciting external marketing / brand architecture project. We’ve employed a talented brand marketing firm, Make Believe, and the team, led by Darren Rudkin, has met numerous times since June. A presentation including a possible brand story and recommended ways of marketing our organization externally was given to the Kairos Board last weekend. More to come about all this at the National Leadership Conferences to be held December 2007 through February 2008. (See the MTL calendar at www.moretolife.org for your country's specific date.)

Also, we ran our very first Coaching Essentials weekend in Johannesburg in August. Trained by Ann McMaster and Bro Walton, it was fully enrolled and is currently generating much excitement among the South African community. Coaching Essentials is taking place in Houston this weekend and is planned for the UK and New Zealand in 2008.

In another development, we will be launching a third mentor course in 2008, the theme of which is currently being finalized, ready to be announced at the National Leadership Conferences.

So, we are well on our way! We are living out our intentions to pass on this life-giving work to thousands more people on four continents, to ensure the growth and sustainability of the Kairos Foundation and to position ourselves in the competitive marketplace with a sense of purpose and integrity.

Stay tuned!

Peggy
