Please read on!
Several recent and very encouraging developments are summarized below by David Templer and Frances Grant who are lending their vision and expertise to the strategic marketing project.
I am thrilled with our progress to date and look forward to your comments or questions. - Peggy
We are pleased and excited to be able to give you this report:
1. New promotional material to be piloted
As you know, a key strategic goal has been to produce new promotional material to support referral into the programme, and we are happy to tell you that Frances and Martha Edgemon have now compiled over 600 pages of feedback on this project from Out Of The Box events around the world. We are now incorporating the many thoughtful and creative suggestions they contain into a revised version with the goal of piloting this new material in communities on each continent, starting in September.
2. External marketing to be added
A recurring suggestion from the project groups was to go for expanding the scope of our marketing beyond personal referral. This connects with a vision the Kairos Board has been holding since last year, and thanks in part to the success so far of the Makens Matching Grant campaign, we are happy to report that we have engaged a brand development company to work with us on a broader marketing approach.
Darren Rudkin, who is a leading creative consultant as well as a member of our Board, has agreed to bring together a special project team with the goal of identifying target markets and developing new messaging for external marketing. The challenge is to project the unique offering of our programme and distinguish it from other organisations with whom we will be competing for attention in the wider marketplace.
This team will be road-testing concepts in the next few weeks using some of our existing project groups in the process. Our plan is to present results to the national MTL Leadership Conferences in December 2007 and early 2008.
3. More exciting developments
As our first-ever Coaching Essentials Training approaches in Johannesburg, South Africa, we have also received the news that the Kairos Foundation has been granted local charity status by the UK government for the first time. This is one of a series of key action steps in our Hub Centres project, and another marker on the road to the future transformation of our organisation.
We hope you are as excited as we are about these events. We acknowledge your on-going commitment to the work of our programme and your vision for the future of our organisation, which has held us and sustained our progress for so long.
With love and respect from
DAVID TEMPLER & FRANCES GRANT
